Well, the other day I was at the public forum WFAE had on the energy economy in Charlotte. I must say I was impressed with the amount of innovation that comes from Charlotte in regards to the people and companies here. I believe Charlotte has what it takes, my only question is what is inhibting the research center from taking off in Waxhaw or any other area? We have what it takes.

It's difficult to take an advocacy website seriously when there are no accomplishments listed, no names listed, their goals & mission are nebulous, no address, no telephone #, no names of board members, and it's mostly a set of bullets of facts on the area. They also want at least $500 to join.

In addition, the website registration is completely private. Odd if this is an actual non-profit group as their domain would suggest.

Interesting website.

To be honest, I still like the Charlotte USA website. Charlotte USA - Energy - Sector Facts, Regional Assets, Regional Initiatives, Case Studies, Sites and Buildings, Workforce and Training | Charlotte Regional Partnership It's more open & accessible to the public, but it's good to know that there's a group effort going on.

So, it really looks like this energy hub is really getting serious. I wonder, what happened to that energy park in Waxhaw?

I have no idea, but I don't think that the rest of the area is waiting for them.
