Today, a deer tried to jump my fence. It got its legs caught up in the spear top. My neighbor called union county animal control to come out and help.
When I got home, I found my gate wide open, a deer leg on the ground, and a suffering deer in my back yard. I called animal control to find out what the hell happened. The officer cut the leg off to remove it the deer from the fence and left. He said he left the gate open so the deer could get out. I'm waiting on them now to come back out and see what they are going to do.
Is it me, or is there something wrong with this? I am completely disgusted by this.. He could of humanely put the deer down..This deer can barely move. I feel like calling the news or PETA.. Just wanted to vent..
Yea.. He thought he'd would be nice and leave the gate to my yard open and the deer would find its own way out.. The guys supervisor just came out and put it down.. I had to help him carry it out to his truck.. The supervisor wouldn't say anything because he knew it was a messed up situation. Great memories I have here..
I still cant believe someone would do that.. I am still in shock and horrified.. I know some people think deer are like rats.. But I'm an animal lover.. How could you let something suffer like that?
If you or your DH has the stomach for it you should slit it's throat (I couldn't do it), my uncle had to do that oce in a similar situation cuz animal control would not kill the deer.
EDIT: I see you have it resolved. That is so terrible. I'm sorry.
I WOULD still call PETA and the news. I cannot begin to count the number of things that are wrong with that.
I agree.
