Does anyone know why there are so many houses on Amir Circle in Matthews that are for sale?
They look like fairly nice houses and are cheap even by NC standards but I am wary of this subdivision since there are 8 houses on the same block that are for sale.

They do show well in pictures on the internet, I know. This neighborhood is right near a group of Habitat for Humanity Homes. Basically there are lower income people there. Not trying to offend anyone, but for middle class folks looking for a home that will get the most in appreciation over time it just is not the best choice. Not to mention, the homes are tiny and right on top of each other, so close they should be townhomes.
A bunch of them for sale at once does raise a red flag, though. Have you Charlotte-area folks seen anything in the news?
My best guess is that these are home buyers caught in the subprime debacle - they should never have been allowed to buy in the first place and now must unload this debt.
Having knowledge of the neigborhood I know that at least three of those houses are for sale due to the fact that they are all owners that moved in about 4 to 5 years ago when the development was being established. These homes usually tend to be good starter homes and after 4 years it is common to see families grow and upgrade or to see single owners move on to a bigger location.
I wonder the same thing. Nice homes, great location. Well there are thoughts that Dan Moser' appraizers were too eager to give mortgages to just about every Tom Dick and harry but this commuty is back finally Now. all that could be forecolesed is foreclosed, hopefully there is no more. it's time for real homeowners to move in and they will, before school starts.
It's also *way* close to railroad tracks that are near 2 crossings, so that means loud train horns all...night....long.
And I mean really close - some of the yards are right at the berms to the tracks!
Sorry!
