I am a nerd... I like video games.. I like books.. I am wicked smart but hate them thar teachers.. I have lived in 3 areas of charlotte... what happens now..

Point being.. Charlotte has very few defined areas.. It's suburbia.. There are places I wouldn't move to, but many I would move to just because they are.. not because of who they are.

I find a person that has an interesting story about his/her rise from poverty to success more interesting than listening to some pretentuous academic nerd discuss quantum physics or some topic for which his experience has been based on textbooks. Sucking up to people that I consider more intelligent than me isn't my cup of tea. I am sure that there are as many Ph.Ds per capita around Charlotte than practically any other city of comparable size. We have a bad habit around here of blending in.
