Default Good Place for Active Widow?

Hi, everyone.

I am a 60 year old widow who will be moving to the Charlotte area. I am not retired but will be looking for work once I arrive. I am very active, a technical writer, an equestrain, a singer. I like lots of things.

I am wondering where to look for a home. I am not ready for a retirement community. I am in the $280,000 to $350,000 range, maybe 2400 - 3000 sq. feet, and, preferably, single level, since my mom will visit often.

I would like something where I could see trees or water. No plowed land for me!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest the Lake Wylie / Tega Cay areas. You will have many choices at that price point and you will be near the water as well. The tax benefits in SC are also very nice

I would recommend Sun City Carolina Lakes. We have a huge single group that meet regularly for lunch, dinner and to party if that is something you would like to do. We also have sooooo many more activities. This is a 55 or older group of people so your mother would be happy here as well.

We are in South Carolina so the taxes are less expensive and the homes are in your price range.

Look up Sun City Carolina Lakes on your computer and if you think you would be interested please let me know and I will help you with questions.

Good luck to you,

Dunroven55
