We might buy a house zoned for that school. It seems like a very good school, but my understanding is that It is small, overcrowded and lots of portables to go around. Anyone familiar with HawK Ridge in the Ballantyne area?

My children attended Hawk Ridge before we "crossed the border" into Union County. We were very happy with the school. The principal is retiring after this year. Yes, there are MANY trailers this year, but new elementary schools are scheduled to be opened this year and over the next few to alleviate some of the overcrowding -- Flat Branch, Prov West and Elon Park. Check the CMS website for details: http://www.cms.k12.nc.us/index.asp (broken link) or feel free to PM me. Best of luck to you
