Our house is brand new/2800 sf, it's only 3 of us and a dog. I'm usually going around turning off lights, I practically have to threaten my daughter to bathe but we're usually moderate energy users. Do I have to sell my first born to afford the water/elec/gas bills? Please help.

I live in Union county and yes our water bill is high, water and sewage run about 80 a month, electric we are on even billing so ours stays the same and then at the end we settle up either up or down. But our usage right now is pretty low about 100.00 and we have gas hot water and gas heat, so everything else is electric, my house is 10 yrs old, we have 2 fridges and a deep freeze as well. I keep my AC at 71 and my heat at 68, I would say our electric will be around 170 this summer and our heat is about 90/winter months and 30 summer months. We have 3 kids and 2 adults in our house. And it is about 2000 sq ft.
Hope that helps.

So what would your totals be per month on an average for water, heat/ac, sewage, gas, electric?? Thanks so much for answering this.

I am shortly moving into 2651 sq ft house, I ahd asked the question months ago as a result of the answer I got, I budgeted high.

$60 for water
$175 Electric
$100 Gas

I do not expect the bottom 2 too be that high all the time just budgeted accordingly

Gas Range, water heater, heat package & fireplace.
Two air conditioning systems

Very helpful. I'm budgeting about 400 total for all. My mom has everything on one bill and she lives in Monroe. I live closer to Wesley Chapel in Monroe and we will have three different companies, Union Public Works, Piedmont Gas and Union Power. I just found that to be weird.

My mom scared me, her bills totalled $600 one month! I was told that because her home is older, that may be a reason why it was so high as opposed to a newer home.

Wow! Our bill is nowhere near that.

We pay between $130-$200 for electric, depending on the season.

We are on a pump, no sewer or water bill.

No gas at our house either.

Dawn

PS: And our house is larger than 3,500 sq. ft.
