Not yet, the Captain at the sheriff's dept said we could, since we're in the city limits, so I guess that's our next move, because I'm at the breaking point. I just have a feeling, though, that they wont care either and probably wont come out. Hope Im wrong. I wish the other neighbors would SPEAK UP... power in numbers...

I call it my barking dog "alert system:' It lets the dumb arse neighbor know that the barking has "triggered" the alarm....and you know what?.Theres not a thing in this world the neighbor can do about it and I assure you my alarm is much louder than the dog..LOL If someone dishes it out to me I will find a way to dish it right back until they sove their problem...
I absolutely love this idea... love, love, love. And, you know what, I doubt I'd get in trouble for it either, since HOA really didnt do anything when I complained about the noise from my neighbor, and law enforcement doesnt seem like they want to be bothered with stuff like that (noise complaints). That, or play a barking dog CD all day when I'm at work. These are the real evil revenge type things I dream up, however I would feel bad for my neighbors who would probably be affected by those things, so I really can't because I dont think it's fair to them.

I asked a city police officer about barking dogs and he told me the best way to get a response is to "have the neighbors call".

I would assume he said this meaning the more neighbors that call in about the barking dogs the more the police consider it a problem...

I'd bet if you did something nasty or harmed these dogs in any way you would spend some time in the clinker. On the other hand if you don't do something real soon you will be spending that time in a looney bin.

So, the real question is. . . which is better?

Have you talked to your other neighbors? Are any of them at home during the day? It would really be helpful cause indeed, there is power in numbers.

I would round up your neighbors and ask them to help you with this situation as its affecting them too.

I really feel your pain as I've been there down here in Miami..I sent them a certified letter explaining to them the different city oridinances they were breaking and that I would contact the police and the AC to report them if it didn't stop. IF that didn't work, I would simply contact any attorney.
Immediately stopped.

Yes, you need to talk to your neighbors and exhaust all of your options first. If after all of this you are not happy, then seek legal counsel.
