Ok, time to start planning for “that time of year”. The time that makes you scratch your head and ask why, why, why do people cram all these events into one month? No sense to me, but I digress. And for those that have never been to the International Festival at UNCC, it’s the “sleeper” must see event of Charlotte, IMO. Add what else you find...

Gastonia Police Department Sniper Conference 9/5

Thought this event might interest some of ya'll. Sounds like fun.

"More than 35 police and military SWAT teams will compete in the third annual Gastonia Police Department Sniper Conference next week, honing their skills in special situations and putting their marksmanship to the test for national bragging rights.

The four-day competition begins Wednesday and is open to the public on Friday and Saturday only. Organizers have saved the best for last — the popular sniper obstacle course, which incorporates various physical challenges and exploding targets, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m."
