Bibit, I hope your family is doing well.

OMG I have a question for you. In CA we had bakeries called Goldilocks and they made Pan de Sal rolls, they have been a staple every Thanksgiving since I was a little girl and we bought extra to make turkey sandwiches (I can taste them now!). Do you know of a place that sells them here? I so miss my Pan de Sol.
Thanks Nancy. Goldilocks stuff is hard to come by but we have had some success with Overseas Market off South Blvd. Try calling first to see if they have some in stock. We've been trying to get San Miguel Beer for ages, but everytime they get a delivery, it goes out just as fast! Hubby really loves San Mig. Same with pan de sal...in one day and then poof! Gone! Did you live near Cerritos? You do know I lived in SoCal for 10 years, don't you?

I was over in the Plaza de Fiesta near carowinds last week at the soccer shop and had a bit of time to spare so popped into the supermarket there. You might find your pan de sal bread there - they have everything including a small bakery department. My children and I also had the best tostados there too.

Thank you so much for the information, I am so going to call. I know Goldilocks does online orders but it's a variety of bread not just Pan de Sal. I may call and see if they can do a special order, can't hurt to ask.

I grew up in Cerritos! Moved into our house when I was 5 (lived in Long Beach and Lakewood before that). The auto square and mall were still dairy farms! LOL Did you live close buy? Did you leave before they built the new Goldilocks? It used to be on Pioneer Blvd and they built a new larger bakery on South St in front of Target which used to be Fedco.

Thank you Sophialee, I just saved the recipe. I am actually a pretty good baker so I may put this recipe to use if I can't find them. They truly are so good.
