I suppose everything has to be put into perspective - it's food it's replaceable. Looking at Ani's news I feel like it's a nothing thing. Sorry Ani for your friends loss.

I just feel so bad for my friend b/c there is no way to comfort someone in a situation like this. I hope it helps that folks have surrounded the family with an outpouring of concern, but in the end, that is just a very lonely path that a mother will have to walk by herself as she finds a way to live beside her grief.
Give those babies big hugs! All we really are guaranteed with anyone we love is the moment. Enjoy those moments!

I am so sorry, too. As a parent, we know that this is the one thing that none of us can be prepared to deal with - as it is an unnatural order of things - to lose our young children. Please say a prayer for all children who are struggling with health issues.

mornin' all....COLD this morning...another long Wed...
since they've closed off the main road out of my subdivision, guess I will have to leave at 7.15 am to be at work at 8 (normal commute 8 minutes).
Since I'll get home about 10.00 pm tonight from class....this will make a LONG day. maybe the teacher will let us out early??

Nice breeze, windows open and getting ready to pull out my fall wreaths this weekend to hang on my doors! It's different down here. Up north, fall is heralded by a different smell in the air, mostly apple cider. When apples are all over, I know fall is here. And the leaves turn a most gorgeous color. I miss the days when my kids enjoyed raking leaves and jumping onto the pile. Soon enough, the smell of burning wood will fill the air. Our senior neighbors are the first to do this. We used to make an annual trek to the pumpkin patches and then bring home jugs of cider. I miss the New England rites of fall, but then again, I don't miss the winter which is right at its tail.
