I'm about ready to bust out my snorkle and fins!
The rain gage had 3 1/2 inches of rain in it this am. Our front porch always stays dry, but not this time. The pillows on my bench are soaked (they are outdoor pillows so they'll be ok) and it was wet clear up to the front door! I also needed to add water to my fountain but not anymore, it's about 1/4" from spilling over. The ground is so wet that my butterfly bush is now leaning to whatever the direction the wind blows.
Hope everyone is dry and safe.

So yesterday, I was driving down 5th St. to get onto 74 and there was what I presume to be a city worker hunched over by a drainage ditch. I am guessing he was checking for blockage. I found it interesting there wasn't a cone or something up. I really couldn't tell that it was a person until I was right on top of them. This person was wearing a green jacket with the hood up and since they were hunched over they sort of looked like a garbage bag.
Not very smart, IMO.

Thank you everyone.
My surgery was laprascopic, so the hospital stay was short. I can't sit here at the computer for very long though.

Rant
To the individual in the gray BMW who almost ran me off I-277 this morning - you need to hang up and drive!

Thanks, Ani!
I hope that I can be up & around better by the end of the week. So far, everything is working. One of my incisions is every color of the rainbow & swollen, but just fine. That's why I can't sit here for long, but as it heals up & the swelling goes down, I'll be back closer to normal.
