I haven't thought about Paw Paw fruit in ages... since we used to pick it as kids.
I've never seen any for sale, but I run across plenty of Paw Paw in the cut around here. If you want to find it yourself I'd suggest looking in areas alongside a creek or stream. It has a characteristic terminal bud that looks and feels like a small paintbrush. The leaves are several inches long and obovate. I've never seen a Paw Paw bigger than a few feet tall (of course, I never look for 'em any taller either... may be why I haven't seen any).
If you buy/find any let us know... I'd like to hear what you think about the fruit. I haven't eaten any for 25 years probably, but I don't remember it being especially tasty. I remember it for its mushy texture...
Good luck with your search.
