There used to be a great place in Charlotte called Roger's Barbecue. You could get a great barbecue sandwich, Brunswick stew and a side of "decorations" - which were essentially - fresh pork rinds - YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM

And the Brunswick Stew was freaking OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!

Of course - this was in the early 80s - way before the yanks decided they wanted to see what our culture was like and then change it.....

...for the BETTER!!! Oh, yeah! Carpetbaggers rule!

I guess I don't like real barbeque. I don't like most places that are said to be authentic or the best.

The BBQ is better in a restaurant than at the festival .You also will get your money worth too.

I been to the festival about every three years bands are ok alot of country bands. If you are into beach shag music I recommend Chairman of the Board
at 1130 a.m I think center of town stage 1
parking i highly suggest to use the shuttle from the walmart parking lot.
off exit 91 Barbecue Festival--Travel Information
or use the bbq train Lexington Barbecue Festival (http://www.bytrain.org/fall/lexingtonbbqfestival09.html - broken link)

festival dies after 3:30 it

Nobody has mentioned this great BBQ place yet, but it is awesome!!
The Little Dooey (across from Concord Mills) has unbelievable brisket that literally melts in your mouth!

The Little Dooey

If you're in the area, stop by The Little Dooey...you won't be dissappointed.
