Nah, but seriously I LOVE livermush. Probably only had it 3 times in the past 5 years, for some reason I never fix it myself but grew up on the stuff. My grandad would always fry some up real early in the morning over the summers when he took me fishing.
I always wondered how they make it so crispy in diners. When I've tried to cook it at home it just sticks to the pan. Well I finally found out their secret... they deep fry it! No wonder I love it. Add some good homefries with onions and some over easy eggs... Looks like breakfast for dinner tonight!

I used to eat at AM PM Gas Stations when I was a kid in Southern Cal. Great Corn Dogs. Burgers were ok. Even the premade sandwiches werent bad.

Anything with the word liver in it will never cross my lips. I remember being a kid and my mom frying up liver & onions, even the smell of it sent me flying out the front door holding my breath the whole way.

I couldn't tell you the last time I actually ate something from a gas station. Icee's & packaged stuff OK, hot dog, not a chance.

Do you recall any spots where you two would fish?
And if so , do you still fish?
If so there are some decent areas in Montgomery County east of Albemarle that you may wanna try.

Its been a while now but we would really just go around to different ponds. There was one place, though, called Catfish Lake (I think, like i said its been well over 15 years) and I couldnt even remember how to get there. All I remember is it was about 1-2 hours away, probably west/sw of Charlotte.

I dont fish much anymore but my roommate goes all the time. Usually to Badin lake. BIG cats in there. Here is a pic of one he caught 2-3 months ago:

Badin Lake is very deep compared to other lakes in the area (nearly 200 ft) - no telling what is down there!

The bomber that crashed in the lake in 1944 has never been recovered.

Yeah...that one in the pic is about a 70 punder or so. The NC record Blue cat was caught in there too (around 80lbs, I think). If my roommate had more than a 50lb scale he might would have come close to the NC state flathead record (78lbs I think).

I think I read where Badin is the deepest NC lake. Not sure about that though.
