There's really very few things that I haven't found or found a suitable replacement for, but to pick only one thing, I would have to say that I miss Produce Junction the most.

Don't really care for the Subway Meatball Sandwich anymore since I tried the meatball sandwich from Firehouse....I can't find anything better locally. They also have some really goood chilli.
Now if you want to try a "really" good meatball sandwich....you will have to go to Columbia, SC....and visit Zorbas on St. Andrews Road..near Piney Grove Road (off I-26). I have actually gone down there for the sole purpose of getting one of their meatball sandwiches. Their salads are wonderful....and the Pizza is out of this world!! Actually, its a pretty good drive down there...maybe an hour and fifteen minutes...and well worth the trip.

I miss a real Krispy Kreme doughnut stores like we used to have in Charlotte. The kind where they were frying up the things in plain view and they had a big tiled milk and coffee bar attached to it. They would be open 24 hours/day. All we can get now are the grocery store variety. Not even close to the same thing.

Nothing really comes to mind. The only minor thing I can think of is, with apple season upon us, the availability of freshly-made apple products: apple butter, apple relish, apple fritters, apple pie (with a big-ol' slice of Vermont cheddar on top), apple ice cream, apple donuts, apple cake, etc.

Oh that sucks. The frozen variety of stuff is never the same..like the frozen Boston Market and TGIFridays stuff tastes absolutely nothing like the original!!

Yay for apple season! But really whats the point about griping over food? Food is best when it is enjoyed amoung friends.
