The only thing I miss from living in a big city is that there are no 24 hour AM news/traffic stations here in Charlotte. I guess that is one of the drawbacks on living in such a small city like Charlotte.

Y, according to Arbitron we're only 25 on their list of top 300 radio markets...

According to the article, Jason Lewis will be one of the syndicated shows on the new station....that should be interesting. WBT is not in trouble because of its conservative tilt....it is bad programming. Tara is not a radio person, she needs to stick to newsprint or web journalism. Larson is just obnoxious...thinks he is beyond being fired so acts like a jerk.

WBT needs to can the both of them and start over. The only plus left on the station is Hancock.

I happen to agree with this. And Al and Stacy (they seem very nice people) are awful at interviewing guests. They get the best guests and NEVER follow up on tough questions (they seem afraid for some reason). Just listen to their interviews w/Gov Perdue.

Larson is awful. If you don't like HIS music or agree w/his militant libertarianism you are labeled being nuts by him. He makes some good points about lower taxes but he goes way way overboard.

Tara also seems nice but she's god awful on radio. Screechy voice and a terrible interviewer. She should stick to creative loafing and investigative journalism.
