It's a tiny bit early for this, but where is the place to go for getting a Pumpkin. We like a themed type of place. We don't necessarily have to actually go out into a patch and pick the pumpkin, but it's always nice to have the option. We mostly like the whole experience and I was curious if anyone had any suggestions. A hayride, maze, animals, or haunted stuff is a bonus. My daughters are 4 years old, so nothing too scary.

We live in Indian Trail, but we're willing to make a little bit of a drive for a really great place. I know some places charge to get in and partake in the experience, but are pretty decently priced on their pumpkins. Other places are free, but charge an arm and a leg for their pumpkins. I'm open to either type of place.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Kids get to dress up. The weather starts getting chilly. Aw Shucks Corn Maze is really cool for the kids (and adults). And its a hop skip and jump from you....

^ I was going to suggest this place. We hope to make it down there this year.
It gets rave reviews all around, so it might be worth checking out.

This is exactly a pumpkin patch...but they had pumpkins to buy...but I thought it was a fun idea to suggest too, especially for you age kids. We went to pick apples at sky top orchards last year with our little ones and it was a blast. Very fall, great scenery, had a store with apple goods(cider, home made donuts, cakes, etc- plus huge pumpkins and pumpkins to buy), they had a playground for afterwards...plus the kids LOVED going around a picking and eating apples. Welcome to SkyTop Orchard Its a little bit of a drive, an hour and 1/2 I think, but a great fall trip into the mountains.

Apparently there is also a haunted hay ride at the 521 rec center in the fall...might be a bit scary though, this was only word of mouth from a parent with older kids.
