Looking for a source of quality pine needles. I need them delivered to my S. Charlotte house, but I do not need them to be spread (I don't mind doing that). I saw Nicholson Farms, but wondering if anything is cheaper ($4.75/bale delivered) and still good quality. We got some awful stuff at Lowe's last year, and I'd like to not repeat that.
Nobody seems to be driving around the neighborhood with the trucks now, so I'd love a name of a company you'd recommend.
Thanks so much!

I don't know on the southside, but for pricing, I paid $3.75 per bundle for long needles, I picked them up, only 5 min from my house in Huntersille. Check to see whether you are getting short or long needle, the long needle is a bit better but more expensive.

Thanks for the price comparison. I really can't pick them up, as I need at least 25 bales. These I found at Nicholson Farm are long needles. Anybody with S. Charlotte recs and/or opinion on Nicholson Farm?

you're not going to find them for cheaper than that.
home depot is offering a special right now...$4.75/bale delivered AND spread.

My recommendation is that unless you are living in an area that has been stripped of all trees, don't spend you money on pine mulch until mid December. Otherwise, the fallout will cover it over.

Your better bet is to use recycled mulch. It lasts a lot longer than pine needles. (which really are not that native to this area)

I think $4.75 is a good deal. We pay $7.00/bale which includes spreading for roughly 700 bales for my community.

$7.00 is high.

Most places charge like $3.50 a bale and even I can spread it!

I have used Nicholson and been happy. Submitted order online, had the bales stacked nicely in the driveway the nexy day.

I will be ordering from them again in a few weeks.
