We are moving to Charlotte (Ballentyne area) this month.
My wife would like to find jobs in Ballentyne area. She is looking for part time jobs.
Skills : She has worked in Hotel industry as front office manager/guest relations executive, she has worked as a recruiter for IT industry and recently as a store executive for a retail store. Terrific netwroking skills.

So what kind of jobs, if any, can she land/search in Ballentyne area.

Your best bet is just to send her out to Ballantyne to "pound the pavement" in person once you get here. I would suggest starting at Ballantyne Resort. Best of luck, jobs are not easy to come by right now in Charlotte

Here are some companies in the area:
SPX Corporation - great company
ESPN
Scottish Re
Bank of America
Carlisle Companies
LendingTree
The Equitable Life Assurance Society
Ballantyne Hotel and the Marriott Hotel
There are plenty of retail stores in the area. Like lovesmountain said, walk the area for the best networking.

You are going to have a hard time in Charlotte right now. Best advice is to go into places and talk to them in person, but I have friends out of work that have tried this with no luck. She could use her networking skills by signing up for functions offered by a number of professional business organizations.

Good luck to you both. I think as you meet people in the area, you may just stumble upon an opportunity via conversation. Welcome to Ballantyne!
