Default reg vehicle registration

hello everyone - we moved from raleigh to charlotte couple of weeks back.
I changed my address on my drivers license. Do I need to change my address on my title as well ? I mean how does DMV know that the owner of a specific vehicle has moved to different address ? I want DMV to send the registration renewal / emission inspections renewal reminder to my new address. What do I need to do?

Thanks for your help.

Your best bet is to call the DMV and ask them about this. I am almost certain you will need to change the registration. Not as sure about the actual Title. If you own the car outright, then most likely you will need to take it to the DMV and get it changed. If you still have a note on it, you might try calling the finance company who has it.
