Default Wells Fargo: Hiring 150 in Winston

From Charlotte Observer - see link below

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. A Wells Fargo & Co. executive says the merged, San Francisco-based bank plans to add about 150 jobs at a North Carolina hub that specializes in serving wealthy customers.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported Friday the bank will keep about 2,800 employees in Forsyth County.

Wells Fargo regional president Stanhope Kelly said it also expects to add 150 jobs over the next two years primarily in wealth management, trust and branches.

Kelly says some of the new wealth and trust jobs are being transferred into Winston-Salem from other locations.

Wells Fargo took over Charlotte-based Wachovia last October. The acquisition has led to layoffs in North Carolina and the Midwest.

Wells Fargo plans hiring for about 150 NC jobs - CharlotteObserver.com (http://www.charlotteobserver.com/232/story/940705.html - broken link)

rofl - made my day...

The real good news here is that those are likely to be in the upper pay scales... They aren't adding 150 janitor jobs. * no offense to our hard working custodians!

You are so right! I used to live near Winston-Salem and it was the biggest joke around town.

ROFL!!! Yes, the building does look like that, Sunny!

Well - I was just so excited to see someone was hiring - even if not right here in Charlotte. I am praying more jobs will be announced here.
