Where can I buy pansies in bulk?
I know it's still a little early...just planning ahead...
I'm in Union County, looking for somewhere to buy lots of pansies.
I'm looking for bulbs too, I usually wait until they go on clearance but I'd like to get them planted earlier this year.
Oh, and I'm always looking for a good price. Who am I kidding, I'm not looking for a good price, I'm looking for a BARGAIN price.

You might try pricing out pansies at Growers Outlet, I don't recall seeing any bulbs there though.

Everytime I scrolled down the treads I saw the word "panties" instead of "panseys". Finally, I opened it up just to be sure! LOL

I was at Growers Outlet yesterday and not a pansy in sight. But they did have Mums for $1.99 for apprx an 8" pot.
Be careful not to plant pansies too soon because they really do not like warm weather, especially if their root systems are not established.

LOL, I do the same thing regarding another thread and read it as a chubby hubby and I thought Barkingowl was Barking growl for the longest time.
But to fairly answer your question you could probably purchase panties in bulk at Costco.
No back to pansies...

Thanks all. No, I wasn't looking to plant them yet, just wanting to know where to find them in Oct. I really don't want to pay $1.50+ for each little 6 pack when I will need a lot. DH saw some snapdragons in Lowes but I don't think I've ever seen them winter over here. We've had some snap dragons reseed themselves and pop back up the following spring....do they last if we plant them in the fall??
Now, $1.50 for a 6 pack of panties is a very good deal (as long as they are not irregulars, lol).

Now that would be a good deal!
You know I don't recall seeing any other flowers here in the winter except pansies. Great question for the locals.

Went to HD yesterday and they have Pansies out. I would assume that Lowe's would too now.

If you don't mind a day trip, Park Seed Company in SC offers up some real high quality plants.
Park Seed: Seeds and plants for vegetable, flower, annual and perennial gardening.
BTW, if your garden is subject to visits by the local deer population, keep in mind they consider pansies to be caviar, fine Russian vodka and Cuban cigars all rolled into one. i.e. they will level your garden in one night.
