Relocating to Mooresville
Hi All
I may have to relocate from the RTP Cary area to Mooresville. Can anyone suggest an area similar to Cary?
TIA

Update
I will be coming to the Mooresville area this weekend, can someone recommend communities to view.
I have 2 toddler aged children and would like a family-oriented community.
TIA

Do you mean specific housing developments?
ETA: Are you saying you will be working in Mooresville but you don't want to live in Mooresville? And when you say - an area similar to Cary - what do you mean? Similar in density of housing? Similar demographics?
South Charlotte may be the "closest thing" to something similar to Cary (in general) but you would not want to live in S. CLT and commute to Mooresville.
Mooresville itself is a great place to live and if I were working there, I would be happy living there.
Are you looking for a house in a particular price range? Any amenities you need nearby?

I work from home and my wife may work in Charlotte.
When I say similar to Cary I mean in terms of family/child oriented, greenways, with easy access to shopping and schools. Home prices seem to be similar to up here from what I have seen online in the 3,000 SF range.

I'm still confused, sorry. If you work from home and your wife would work in Charlotte, WHY are you moving to Mooresville?
As Ani stated, to find the most similar environment to Cary you would need to look in the south Charlotte Ballantyne area.

I am only slightly familiar with Mooresville and have friends that moved there that recommend it thats why I am asking about it. I am not familiar with the Ballentyne but now I know it is a place I would want to check out. Thanks

Don't get me wrong - I like Mooresville and if I were to move from here in S. CLT - it would be to move to Mooresville (I have family there and really like that area). The closest thing to Cary would be in S. Charlotte/Ballantyne - but you might find a neighborhood in M'ville that fits perfectly (there are some really nice neighborhoods there!) However, there are also other areas you may find interesting, such as Matthews, Union County, Weddington, etc. If what you want is a nice neighborhood where you can walk - that is not always available. I don't think Charlotte is the most pedestrian friendly city - but some neighborhoods are gonna be laid out better for that than others. I am not apt to use the greenways that are around my house as they are in densely wooded areas and I wouldn't feel safe (but that is just me). If there were a group of us, then I might venture out into the woods.
To help you , we would really need to know a price range and more about the area you would find "ideal."

The closest thing to Cary is located, fortunately, in Jersey...
