Default Uptown hotels

I'm looking for a super nice, elegant hotel for the night of my wedding in 5 weeks.. would love something with a really nice view of the city. The Blake had terrible reviews on trip advisor, so that's out. Marriott is completely booked. Sooo... Westin? Omni? Suggestions?

DH and I stayed at the Westin last December. Loved it. If you stay up high enough and on the correct side, you have a beautiful view of uptown. I can't speak for any other hotels up there, but I really enjoyed staying at the Westin. Congratulations, btw!

You can't go wrong with the Ritz Carlton...it's beautiful.
I would also check out the Hilton.

Aloft looks like it could have some decent views, depending on which side of the hotel your room was on.

I think the bar is already open at the Ritz. Thinking of possibly stopping in tonight to have a drink there.

I didn't realize the Ritz would be open by then. I'd definitely check that out!

The Blake is a great place when one wants to go into town for a pub crawl and just needs a place to stay that isn't really too bad. I believe that the Ritz Carlton will be open in October. I think that would be great. Or, how about that very old place on Tryon almost across from ReRa Pub. I forgot the name of the place. Somebody help me out. It seems to offer a degree of class and luxury. Forgive my duplicating what others have said. I am writing from my hotel in Boston and haven't had time to go back and read everything.
