I respect the Phillies' talent, and they do have a good team, but there were some weird quotes coming from them all week. Remember Hamels' words and then his teammate taunting him/provoking a fight?

The first problem w/the Lee decision was that he wasn't going to be really available or effective to pitch game 7 (by starting game 5). If he started game 4, he could've sucked it up and pitch a game 7 (if the series went that long). It's water under the bridge, but just the reasons him and the manager gave were extremely lame...I do give the NYY credit because no one on that team would back down to a challenge like Lee/Manuel did...
You could tell Pedro was going to struggle and labor in that game. He wasn't really breaking 90 and didn't look as sharp as he did the earlier game. the single by Matsui scoring 2 runs was a killer....being down 4-1 vs 2-1 was huge. If he kept it there, they would've had a shot, but again, water under the bridge.
Hamels hopefully was taken out of context by wishing the season was over...don't understand that one bit...if he literally meant it, then it just adds to the perception that many of these guys care more about the money than a world championship.
