What time to put your tash out. Keep you garage door closed. BTW some HOA have discrimination against blacks. They worry about it bringing down the cost of a home. I tried to find the article again to show you. Mommy government, mommy community. It is really sad that adults would have to resort to this type of living.
I love where there are homes that have individuallity. Not cookie cutter homes.
Not meaning any disrespect, but . . . if you didn't want a cookie cutter home in a restricted neighborhood . . . why did you buy there? Again, not meaning any disrespect - just very very curious.

What about someone who becomes disabled from a stroke and has to survive in disability, will they be forced to move because they can't afford the HOA dues?

I like having the comfort of knowing when my house is paid off that I won't be forced to pay anything but property taxes.

What am I missing here? Don't buy in a neighborhood that has an association. Is there something more complicated that I don't see?

I never bought in a HOA as I have said in past posting and I never will. It amazes me that I have to repeat this yet again.

The confusion comes from your posts which sound like you are speaking from experience...which you are not. Your ranting is not based on any experience you have had with an HOA....Kind of like a guy who has only ever owned a Ford going around telling everyone how Chevy sucks...you lack credibility. Besides that, while there is some truth to your point of view you are painting with too broad a brush....just look at the title of the thread...Communism....really?

Then you obviously don't have to deal with an HOA...so why do you give a rat's behind about people who choose to live in an HOA neighborhood?

People can choose whether or not they want to live in a community with an HOA. Are you suggesting that we do away with HOAs and, thereby, restrict our collective freedom of choice?
