Family Doctor Recommendation in Huntersville, Davidson area
Currently I am seeing Dr. Bachelor in Huntersville. He is a good doctor but too busy. It takes at least 3 weeks to get an appointment and emergency you can only seen by a NP. I am thinking to switch. Can anybody recommend any other good family/Internal Medicine doctor in Huntersville,Cornelius, or Davidson area?

My Dr is great! He is Christian Wolff at Lakeside Family Physicians on Old Jetton Rd. (off Catawba and Jetton). He is easy to get into see him. He sits down and truly listens and seems to care.

The NP I see is a very nice person and spend adequate time with me during my visits. However, seeing the doctor only once in my five visits, is not making me very comfortable. I assume that NP and Doctor are not at the same level as far as the competency goes.

In Davidson there is Ardsley IM- they have 2 excellent physicians and a NP who are great.

There is a new integrative medicine clinic opening in a few months in Cornelius. It is going to be awesome because they will be a primary care practice that offers natural alternatives...and takes insurance. If you post again (or send me a DM) then I can send you more info when it gets closer to opening time.

My doctor is Dr. Price at the Davidson Clinic off of Exit 30. Great bed side manner and can fit me in in a pinch.

I am new to the area, selected Dr B randomly, saw him once (for a regular type checkup - I wasn't sick) and was very pleased.
I guess it is a tradeoff. On the one hand, you don't want to wait, but otoh, a good doctor should be popular. I had a real hard time getting a dermatologist apptmnt. My scheduled apptmnt was way off in the future and even then had to be rescheduled once to even farther in the future. However, again, when I finally went in for the appointment I thought the doctor was extremely thorough and thought the experience was overall better than the fine Drs I had seen in NJ. So I guess they are popular for a reason.
I believe there are quite a few popular doctors out there that aren't even accepting new patients, so if you find a doctor with many open appointments I would approach with caution.

My wife and daughters were VERY PLEASED with Dr Linda Weingardner in Huntersville. Military friendly, too.
