I also don't like Chick-Fil-a and I seem to be in the minority on that one. People always told me how great it was, but I just don't get it.
I second you on that one. I'm not a big fan of Zaxby's either. Boring, boring chicken. I was spoiled by an awesome chain in the Tampa Bay area though - Ya-ya's. It was real flame-broiled rotisserie style chicken and oh so good.
I keep meaning to try the Penguin and BBQ King someday. It's just hard to have time to go to areas of the city that aren't near work or school. But Price's is first on my list!
all this talk about chicken, has me craving Boston Market chicken pot pie
We were out of town this past weekend and were driving back home down 85 and, as we passed near Greensboro, decided to hop off at exit 138 and stop at the only Popeye's in the state, got a box of their spicy chicken and brought it back with us. I'm not big on fast food in general, but one of the few things I do miss from up north was getting a spicy Popeye's chicken fix maybe about once a month. Since I hadn't eaten at one in over a year, we decided to stop and bring some back.
Yeah, Outback is hit or miss but then again what do you expect from a chain restaurant.
Just because it is a chain does not automatically make it bad (Capital Grille is a chain and they have some good food). But I agree that Outback is horrible and in no way worth the price or the wait.

We have been to the new Macs location down the street from us several times since they opened. We like it; it has replaced Red Lion as our favorite local (i.e. within a 1-mile radius of our house) bar. Their barbeque is decent (I like the beer can chicken too) - its not out of this world, but its decent bar food and good happy hour joint. Although I'm not sure what atmosphere you're paying for - its really just a bar, and the menu items are not expensive in any way (and the prices for most of the selections on their super-sized beer menu are way reasonable).
