What would a Taxi cost from Charlotte Douglas Int Airport, to Sam Furr road area in Huntersville? I haven't taken a Taxi in years and i have NO CLUE what they cost these days!

My friend may not be able to pick me up when I get into town.

Thanks

They have taxis here in Charlotte?
Just kidding. I have no clue how much it is. They don't seem to be a popular mode of transportation here...but then again I don't go uptown often so I'm not sure how popular they are there.
One cab company I know of is Crown Cab. Here is their site. You can get a quote for fare there.

I think I did it about 2 years ago and it is about 30 dollars but that was when gas was below 2 bucks. I usually ask for a prorate instead of a meter rate.

Your other option is to take the CATS bus

Bus #5 from airport to uptown transportation hub
Bus #77 or bus #48 (both are express buses ) from uptown to huntersville and if your close to one of the village rider buses you might be able to make it all the way

just some options

What taxis are y'all taking? I take a taxi service (usually Yellow Cab) from uptown to Sam Furr and it costs me $44. I give him a $50 and call it a night. Of course, this is on weekend nights so maybe there's a premium on weekends for the uptown crowd like me (who are responsible and won't drive after even one glass of wine).

I need to find cheaper cabs.

Is there a set/flat price for taxi ride to the airport from the different suburbs. For example- does anyone know how much it would cost to go from Concord to Charlotte douglas?

Lightbulb <insert title here>

Taxi Service (http://www.charmeck.org/Departments/Airport/Ground+Transportation/Taxi+Service.htm - broken link)

I had to look this up recently. Looks like a flat rate downtown, but metered elsewhere. $2.00/mile!
