Wow, there were some big flames in the cell phone video they showed on the Channel 8 news. Fire started near some clothing racks on the sales floor. I hope it didn't cause too much damage.

Channel 36 just said no injuries and the store was evacuated ok.

man I bet that was scary. There are a lot of families with little kids who shop there - it would be really frightening to be there with your kids.

Ok, here is a little sprinkler suppression 101. When you have a fire and sprinklers actuate, the other sprinklers will not actuate until the fire spreads and breaks the fuse under the heat. So when the flames are extinguished... the heat is also a non factor as well. So no, the electronics would not have been destroyed. The baby section is in a totally different part of this target.

I work at the target I was one of the people who had to evacuate everyone, we got all the people out safely and the sprinklers went off, we are actually reopened today according to my manager, the only thing that was damaged was some clothes and a ceiling. But unfortunately our target was robbed.
