Aw, Eman, you know I am trying to get an offer from you to be my personal social tour guide.

Otherwise, I will have to do my own research, and I just don't know how people are gonna feel when I respond to a gruff "Move it along, already!!!" with "Can you please give me your zipcode?"

HAHA! but you should now know that your response to "Move it along, already!!!" should be "CAN'T YOU SEE I'M WAAAALKIN HEEERE?!?!", and maybe throw in a 'fugheduboutit' for good measure! now THAT'S NYC livin!!!

Actually, the last time I was in NYC and got told (loudly) to "move it along, already" I was, indeed, impeding traffic b/c I was loaded down w/ shopping bags and no one could get past me on the escalator. But I yelled out, in my most exaggerated Southern drawl, "Why don't you all just kiss my big pink fluffy Southern arse" and even I was surprised at how many folks laughed. But the best thing was - one guy yelled back - "Tell it, honey!"

I love New York!!!

Everyone should take this example... Just in the fact that it's so liberating to yell back at a complete stranger and have it be perfectly acceptable. NYC manners. =)

And northerners can't be closed minded? LOL! You might be surprised. Just because we have been told we are "closed minded" for years and years by northerners , doesn't meant we actually have to believe it. Southerners are individuals like everyone else. Some are clsoed minded, some aren't. Like all other places.

My guess is Ballantyne. I live in Union County too, not from NY or NJ either

This story about the BOOK that was released TODAY was also featured on the Today show this morning. Aren't they in NYC? Well, that backwards little town!
