Just from my observation of all the construction going on in Mount Holly and Denver I strongly feel these two cities and Mountain Island Lake will become the new hot spots with the best appreciation value on their current values

Big contributing factors

Small town feel (for now)
Lincoln and Gaston county school system
Lower taxes
Highway 16 widen
Interstate 485 interchange with Highway 16
Lake homes are cheaper (for now)
Close proximity to the airport
Easy commute into uptown
Convience to shopping malls and centers

I agree, especially on Denver. I love it up there, and now would be the time to invest. However, I can totally see that place becoming a congested mess like Mooresville.

Nice to hear, moving to Mount Holly in July. Can't wait to get there. Rural, but good commute to Uptown and not crowded ! Yet.....

Yes, I should start looking for a property there, once I get settled in.
