I would think you'd be as removed from those kinds of possible infections as possible, since a patient with cancer typically has a very compromised immune system. You aren't going to be hanging out in the emergency room, or even an open ward. In fact, in my experience, those kinds of treatments are usually in separate wings, if not separate facilities from the general care facilities. So I would say that that wouldn't be a reason for me to get one.

No I don't want them to catch anything from me since their immune systems are compromised.

It's a chemo center, similar to a dialysis center if you've ever been to one of those. Lots of people in recliners in little areas of two recliners w/ extra chairs for visitors, w/ the people in the recliners getting chemo.

Yeah, I've been in cancer treatment centers before. I don't really know, I guess I can see reasons to say yes and reasons to say no. Partly, to me, it would depend on how long it is until your friend starts treatment. I'd want at least a couple of weeks between the vaccination and the treatments to be sure I wasn't going to be one of those who gets sick off the vaccine.

The HT traveling clinic is great! They will do the flumist for a 3 year old. The one I went to (Cotswold HT) even had lollipops! They had plenty of everything, so I think you'll be OK going there. The schedule is posted on HT's pharmacy website, give or take a few clicks.

It's cash/check, that's the only thing. They don't do any insurance. Good luck!

Thanks to all again. I pulled up the HT info and they are scheduled to be at Stonecrest on Monday. I also like that they offer the mist for my daughter so we can bypass her getting a shot in a place I take her twice a week. All I need is her screaming as I try to go in a grab some milk! Thanks again!
