Shooting ranges between Troutman and Huntersville
I recently got my CCW permit and I would like to find a range nearby to better familiarize myself w/ my handgun. I live in Troutman and work in Huntersville. Is there any place in between these two towns that is open to the public?

The closest range to Troutman is in Statesville.

The idea is to show all ranges within a reasonable drive (around 2 hours) from Charlotte.

No problem. As always, if anyone knows of any more ranges or shops that aren't on that map, send me a message with the address and website (if there is one) and I'll add it.

I ended up going to shooters express. Super nice place, friendly staff and the range is open on Sunday (big plus). My .45 jammed and the staff dropped what they were doing to come out to my firing line and clear my weapon for me. Definitely going back!

Shooters can be hit or miss. Sometimes it gets so damn busy in there that it gets claustrophobic in their little shop...not to mention that with that many people, there are bound to be some idiots in the mix who lack gun safety and/or control.
All in all, it's a good place to get some range time in. Just always have your guard up.

I guess I had a good experience because it was Sunday and not busy, but I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks!
