Nice! Yeah, after being delayed by the buyer's lender twice, I closed on my old house on Thursday! It was down Johnston Rd off of Ardrey Kell in an area that was being really developed so it only took 7 days on the market which was nice, but waiting for the closing, wondering if you're going to have to make another mortgage payment, wondering what the repair request list will be, etc...can be very stressful. We've signed a 6 month lease on an apartment (which is an adjustment again), but it sounds like the house will be ready a couple of months sooner than that. Anyway, after all this stress, I'm definitely looking forward to making Berewick my home for many years.

Oh yeah that house will def be ready sooner than you think. With the weather we have had they are moving WAY ahead of schedule. I take it you work uptown? Man I cannot wait to get back and forth to work in 15 minutes...vs 45 minutes.
hehe

Even better than uptown. I work on Arrowood Rd. close to I-77. It'll take me 10 minutes. Hop on 485 for one exit and I'm practically there. I've been dealing with the 30 minute commute for several years now and cannot wait to give it up.

I have heard that the traffic light on Shopton and 160 gets backed up in the mornings, but for us on Seamill, it makes more sense to take Dixie River to 160 and hop on 485 there.

We are on Seamill too. (the steet is actually goes all the way to the culdesac on the other end to the other collection, Blue ridge)
We are in the bend as it heads back up, on the forest side.
They sold a bunch of lots last weekend; I don't know how we got so lucky, may be because we are from out of town, but they let us pick a lot that wasn't even open yet.
We were told it looks like Nov 1st or around there we should be closing.
It will be neat to come back in August for pre-dry wall to see what's been put up since we left.

Yup thats exactly what I will do also. Except I won't even mess with 485. I will take 160 towards town, turns into West blvd, jump on Clanton road, then I work right off clanton and south tryon. I have gone that way from work to Berewick on friday around 5:30 when 77/485 is at it's worst. And I was still able to get to Dixie River road in 15 miutes..EVERYONE is going SE..noone is going SW.hehe
woot!

BigCountry...
please PM me about your KB contact. I am currently in that same situation. For some reason, I can't PM anyone out? Maybe, due to the fact that I just joined???

Thanks in advance....

Wow,
Glad to hear positive remarks about KB....My house in harwood looks to be the last to be built...They are working on 2 and the 3rd will start construction soon...they told me that looks like I will close somewhere between Jan-Mar. Due to finishing the current houses, and to fill the creek behind my lot. Then they will start on my house.
