I know, it's an odd question, but my husband has a thing (we'll call it tradition) where he likes to eat for free on his birthday. Well, that's coming up, and we're not sure where to go. Any suggestions?

I know Red Robin and Rock Bottom have a birthday club. Buca Di Beppo might also have one but I think its only for a free dessert. You'll have to sign up on their websites and they'll email you the coupon. I would go to your favorite restaurants websites and see if they have any kind of birthday club or email is that asks for birth date.

New Zealand Cafe does a free meal on your birthday. Just bring an ID in (for 21+) and you eat free!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check out the New Zealand Cafe. We went to Red Robin and Buca Di Beppo not too long ago, so we'll save those for another time.

Spiderbear, is there a particular dish you'd recommend at the NZ Cafe? We're not familiar with it.

Denny's!

(Well, at least they used to. I don't eat there myself.)

Bojangles serves a bisquet with gravy topped off with a candle with proof of DOB. Only problem is they always have a problem lighting the candle b/c they get the wick wet with the gravy topping. Well, you know the help they get these days.

Get there early as there's always a line out the door.

Happy birthday to your man!
