Default Where to go on Thanksgiving?

We typically like to go out to eat on Thanksgiving. We have gone to Maggianos in Southpark the past few years and it has gone down hill. The food was very "Institutional" last year and I left disappointed. I don't want to go to a "typical buffet" and don't mind spending a little $$ if the food is good. I have been to most of the hotels that offer buffets, and the Ballantyne Resort (or Hotel whatever it is now) is a bit pricey for what you get.

Any other recommendations?

K & W Cafeteria has a sign that it will offer a full Thanksgiving meal all day long. The price was around 6$ if I remember correctly.

You can try The North Harbor Club in Davidson.

I would be the Landmark Diner on Central Avenue is open. I have never had bad food there, it's not expensive and the service is always great. They're open late and on Sundays, so I'll bet they are open on Thanksgiving.

Years ago, maybe 10, I went to Mimi's Cafe with the family. I think it was good. It was a while ago. Not sure about cost since I didnt pay. They do have one of those here in Charlotte.

Default Observer list open restaurants?

Does the Observer run ads or list the restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving? If so - approximately when and what day of the week? Do they have an entertainment or dining section on particular days?

Thank you.

I know it's not exactly nearby, but the Biltmore has Thanksgiving meals at its restaurants. The Deerpark restaurant looks like it has a good buffet! Not sure the price, and I think you need to buy admission too, but if you have a membership or want something fun to do more than just a meal it may be worth checking out! I think hubby and I may do that, we have no family around and it will be a fun day trip.

Click on the restaurants to see Thanksgiving menus...

Thanksgiving night The Men's Club is serving Thanksgiving dinner for $5.95. I don't know what the menu consists of though.
