I'm curious why people here think that the schools are good.

In suburban NY, schools in towns like Scarsdale, Bronxville, Chappaqua, Rye, etc. are truly outstanding. The average SAT scores are astronomical, the number of AP courses and foreign languages is vast, and the number of students accepted into Ivy League schools is substantial.

The public schools here seem to be lousy.

Can anyone whose kids have attended both coment?

Yet the whole state of NY is moving to NC. People can offer up words on the internet but I say people really vote with their feet.

That's true. In Westchester, teachers with a Masters can earn up to $115,00 to $120,000. What is the maximum here?

It is bad enough that transplants from NY and NJ bad mouth the area, now we have to hear it from people from England too?

Get out of the area if you hate it so much. Go move to Atlanta as you have advised others to do.

I am.

I was just amused because people say that BofA's CEO should stay in Charlotte and not NY for the schools. That just strikes me as absurd.

There are plenty of very good suburban Charlotte schools, just as I'm sure there are some sub-par suburban NY schools.

So why don't you reply with your opinion in one of those threads rather than creating a new one that is an obvious attempt at trolling. Troll.
