We just moved to the area and are looking for a home. We are looking for something ard 300-350.

Baxter and Tega Cay seem overpriced but they offer a lot. We are looking for a community that has great pool stuff and playgrounds, etc....

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

You will have many options in your price range. Emerald Lakes has one listing in that price point. I would suggest you consider areas 10/1 and 10/2 as well -- neighborhoods like Somerset and Hunter Oaks might work for you too. Your realtor should be able to search based on criteria that are most important to you. Best of luck to you and Moderator cut: realtor soliciting

If you are interested in other areas of the city our neighborhood would fit the bill...We're in Highland Creek. Check out St Lawrence Builders- that's who we bought from, and love love love our home. This is our 3rd new home experience, and this house is the best build of ll of them.

Highland Creek is a wonderful Master Planned community that is in both Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties. It is large but it also has 4 pools, a golf course, sports club, walking trails and tons to do. The playgrounds are wonderful- I have 2 within walking distance of my house, and there are a bunch more.

Good Luck in your decision making!

Not a hug BV fan, but ii is nice having those service in walking distance, you'll get to know your neighbors better. pm me to discuss those answers, and i'll know better...

You can find really nice places in Tega Cay in that price range - just get out of LakeShore. Go to the other side of Tega Cay Dr. and you'll find nice resales.

Check out Sunset Point which is across Lake Wylie from Tega Cay. We have a great lakefront community with a pool and beachfront. www.mysunsetpoint.com.

I recommend it highly. We do have some of the usual HOA BS but I think you would have that with any community. Take 77 south to Exit 82C...then 161 West to 3rd red light, make a right on Mt. Gallant. Straight out to first light and make a right on India Hook. The entrance to the neighborhood is right after the intersection with twin lakes road.
