I sure would like to take my grandsons around to see the Christmas light displays in the Charlotte area this weekend. If anyone knows of some "for sure" neighborhoods or otherwise would you please list them, and what part of the the city they are in. That way...if someone lives on the north side...they can make a list, and since I live in the south area I could make a list....mark them down, and take them right to the areas before it got too late...instead of doing a hit and miss...where they would become bored with the whole process. Thanks if you can help!!

Why not take them to the best show in the Charlotte area - McAdenville?
You can park and walk the route, or drive thru in your car
Sorry....they have already been there...and enjoyed every minute of it. That is why I wanted the Charlotte area.....mostly South....so that I could figure a route out before the weekend...and maybe even the first of next week....so that it would be an on going show of lights. Some places don't have any displays, and I just didn't want to waste the time...as you probably know....the little ones get restless after awhile.
While going from Carmel Rd on Colony towards Rea Road, I saw a bunch of houses on Sherwood Forest Drive, half-way to Rea on the right side that had lights galore!! It looked like a lot of fun, something the children might enjoy seeing.
While you are in the area of Ardrey Kell for Kevin cooks house there is a really good display off Tom Short Rd. Take Rea towards Providence. Turn Left at CVS and take first left past the Long View CC entrance.
If you want to see a bunch of nicely decorated houses go to Ardrey neighborhood (off Ardrey Kell/Wade Ardrey).
That is amazing. I have to hand it to him for innovation especially since he built his own controller. Amazing he had to upgrade to a 400 amp service to do it. That is a pretty expensive thing to do.
My friends rec'd this e-mail: Those of you in need of a "I can't believe they did that" moment should drive over to the address below one night. A friend of the station has created a light show in his front yard. There is a special radio frequency to tune to to listen to the music and see the lights synched up. Santa is flying over the house, penguins shoot in the air, there is a carousel and a hand made roller coaster with coasting Christmas penguins.
Really.
It's near the intersection of Providence Road and Wendover. Go to:
501 Mammoth Oaks Drive
Charlotte, NC 28270 US
I have also heard of 3 houses next to each other in Inian Trail that do the same, but don't know where...
Thank you so much..PEABO14...that one sounds like a lot of fun for the big and little Kidz Hopefully, we will get a few more before the weekend is over....and then we can start planning the route.
I know that this was a simple request, but it is going to be some really good "free" family entertainment.....maybe we will even pick up some treats to have along the way!!
If you find out where the displays are in Indian Trail, would you please post them. Maybe there might be others that know about the ones you were talking about....lets hope so....if you can't find them.
Thanks again for your input........
