Looking for a recommendation for a good butcher shop or seafood market. As of right now, I'll be going to Fresh Market on Providence. Originally from Chicago and fresh butcher shops and seafood market were everywhere.

Looking to splurge for the holiday. Thanks in advance!

When we were living in Los Angeles, we did decades of shopping at Whole Foods.

Here, we've found What's Your Beef, which we've found to have what I think are better meats — I thought we were getting nutritious meats before, but this seems to be far more nutritious (and delicious, too): Whats Your Beef

They'll be moving to Ballantyne soon.

The freshest seafood market is in the Asian shopping center at Sugar Creek & N.Tryon in N. Charlotte. It does not look like much, and the parking lot is like one giant pothole, but, the seafood is very fresh.

I go here for great meat:
Halal International

3120 North Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte, NC

They have every cut and all kinds of meat. (They don't sell pork though if you are looking for that.)

I'll 2nd the vote for the Peach Stand - organic/local farmers.

Reid's uptown and Fresh Market are both good options, as well. The Peach Stand is my #1 option, though.

Thanks for the bump, hooligan.

My folk used to live in TN. Grain feed beef all the way. We used to bring hamburgers home from there and at our pool parties everyone would ask if we had the TN beef burgers.

The fat tastes like butter!!!!!! That is the best way to describe it.
