So we have decided to give this a try, at least the First Night Kids, this week.

Does anyone have recommendations of where to eat nearby, around what time within 3-7 will be the least crowded, whether we should just eat at 7? How crazy does it get for reservations? Would prefer a place without reservations if possible.

We are not looking for anything fancy since we have the kids but not necessarily fast food either. Maybe something like Five Guys/Brixx pizza/Libretto's.

Not sure yet if we will stay past dinner as at least one of my kids is an early bird sleeper.

I'd guess most places will be more crowded.closer to 7. There is a Brixx uptown at 7th Street station - 225 E. 6th St.

Another suggestion is Rock Bottom Restaurant. It's pretty family friendly.

I would recommend Brixx, especially since you know where it is. Also there's a Fuel Pizza near there too, at College and 6th. And as NCgirl said, Rock Bottom. All those places are right within the vacinity of the First Night Kids events. Fox & Hound at 7th and Tryon would be ok that time of day too. I would also recommend you park at 7th Street Station, or the new deck behind the Holiday Inn. The weather may be sketchy that day and all these places are near all the events. The EpiCentre places will be a little furhter walk from the kids events.
