Anyone have reviews on any of the venues within the EpiCentre?

Strike City for instance? Or the theatre?

Would love any comments!

Thanks!

Sara

theater is top notch.
Best theater I have been in except
Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood
You can go to their website and you can reserve a seat
You have your own arm rest and not up on top someone else
Soft stadium seating with your own drink holder
you can bring food from the restaurant in or mix drinks or beer
my favorite NO KIDS
MEZ

We didn't play at Strike City, but went in to check it out - it was very cool! One of the quietest bowling alleys I've ever been in! I don't know if it's the surface they use, or just the layout, but there wasn't the loud crash bang that's at other alleys. Really nice bar area. A few too many TVs for my taste, but I think I must be in the minority with that!

Agree with Sunny about the theater! Except I like to go *with* my kids early in the day. It is very, very cool being able to take restaurant food in there. And Mez has really good food!

Love the movie theater at Mez. Big comfy seats (and well situated so couples can kind of cozy up together in them). Plus you can bring in food / drinks from the bar. They also have an amazing sound system. Plus the best part is that, given where it is located and the type of crown they bring in to Mez...you don't have to deal with inconsiderate idiots yapping or playing with their cel phones during the movie. Ya know...they kind of keep out the riff raff.

Is it really beneficial to reserve a seat? We'd like to go on a Sat evening.

Does it fill up in there? Are the reserved seats truly better seating?

Thanks!

I've never seen it 100% full, but we usually reserve seats because we don't like to sit down front and so we don't have to worry if we go in 5 minutes before the movie starts.

I used to not reserve, but now I do because sometimes the show we want to see is sold out.

I luv the epicentre. It's a lot of fun!

Went on a Saturday night and had a unpleasant experience in getting out through the "club" that Mez had turned into. The wife was mad having to wait in a huge line to use the restroom with all the drunken patrons.

I agree. The theatre is VERY nice but I would advise going during the week for an evening show that ends late.

like the movie theater, especially the reserved seats and the 21 and up policy. The only thing is that if you go to a movie on the weekend and it gets out late you have to walk through the bar (that is now packed) to leave.
Strike City is nice as well, but if the UFC has a fight on the place is packed as well, and the blowing is a little high and I think the lanes are shorter than normal, but that just might be me.
