I am transfering to the charlotte area for Sam's club. I have my pick of a few clubs in different cities and would like some input on the areas.

1) jw clay blvd - charlotte
2) windsor sq. dr. - matthews
3) carolina parkway - pinesville
4) franklin blvd - gastonia
5) supercenter drive - kannapolis
6) highway 70 - s.e. hickory

I would like a 20 minute commute to work and a slow paced town to live in.

I live in the University Area/Derita area of Charlotte and prefer

1) jw clay blvd - charlotte

The reason is because you have the following stores close together
Sams
Wal-Mart
Best Buy
Dick's Sporting Goods.

Also, the area is very well lit and it never is really busy because Sunday from 1-3. If you park on the right side of the store you can get good parking.

For a slower paced town, I'd choose Hickory.

That was my first thought, as well.

You may also want to consider Gastonia. You could live in Gastonia, Dallas, Ranlo, Lowell, McAdenville, Belmont or Mt. Holly

I was thinking Landis or China Grove which are 5 to 10 miles from Kannapolis.

Good Luck with whichever area you choose NC really is a pretty state.

I just went to the Hickory one last week... not really impressed with it and not really impressed with the area...

It is VERY slow paced around there, but that might suit you.

Seems like everyone wanted to chit-chat instead of help me...
