Question I-77 or Old Statesville road

I may be leasing a home in Cornelius close to Old Statesville road. I wanted to know which route would be better to my work, which is off Mallard Creek Church road. Should I take I-77 south to WT Harris exit, or take old Statesville road. Which is faster, not counting when there are accidents.

J-Hawk is on a distinguished road
I live in Huntersville on exit 25 and work at UNCC. Harris is a MESS and I would try to avoid it at all costs. I tried both 77 and Old Statesville and didn't really notice a difference in time...the problem is Harris.

Now I take 77 south to 85 north and then exit on Harris which is about 1/2 mile until UNCC. It used to take me about 40 minutes from the time I left home until I got to work. By taking 85 I've cut about 10-15 minutes off my drive because I'm not dealing with Harris.

Good luck!!!

Or you could cut down Asbery Chapel from Ramah Church over to Eastfiled then onto Brown Road

Thanks, yes it is just shy of 14 miles. There are ways for me to avoid WT Harris as well, no worries

This is a good way to go.

Is Alexanderana still closed for construction? Because I usually go
Old Statesville, Left on Alexanderana, Left on Eastfield, Right on Prosperity Church which turns into Mallard Creek Church.....14 mile trip.
