I dont know about that the Asheboro Zoo treats their animals pretty nicely even
tries to mimic their homeland and provides large roaming space

There will be circuses, and zoos, as long as there are children and people who don't give a crap about animals. They won't get my money or support.

Because if its posted somewhere on the web, it must be true.

According to the link that was posted, a court of law found the circus not guilty of animal abuse last month. Is there proof of the abuse from this month? If not then I would say that this thread is making a false allegation. Sorry, but that's how it looks to me, just based on the facts in that link.

Sorry, but IMO ,teaching/ bullying wild animals to perform, keeping them in small enclosures and dragging them around the country in trucks isn't humane.
Zoos and circuses are not the same thing, although I agree that they may sometimes share some humane issues.

Guess it depends how you define abuse.

We were loking forward to going until we saw there were performing animals.

Well, I'm stating that the courts said that there is no abuse. (It's in the posted link. Go ahead & read it.) That's their opinion & that's what counts, in this country. Personally, I don't go, but that has nothing to do with what I posted. An allegation is being made with no back up, much less dated after the court decision.

Did you just discover that the Ringling Brothers Circus had animals?
It has been part of their traveling shows since the late 1800s.
