I have not really done anything to prepare but I have my usual stash of pantry items. I hope that is gonna be adequate.

I hate ice b/c ice in NC = power outages.

ROFL, in Philly & South Jersey it was always milk, eggs & bread, so I just had to ask. On the other hand, if the weather people said nor'easter, they would strip the shelves in the supermarkets.

Marshmallows sounds like a great idea! I don't think it will work well with my kerosene heater, but I can fix some less exciting items.

I have my pantry items, too, Ani. I also have enough candles to last for days. I went out today & got kerosene, but I can't carry the container if it's full, so got a 2nd container earlier in the week & got enough to half-fill the storage container, & tomorrow will get the rest when I go out to get a couple of other things. If I make it to Ingles, fine, if not, that's fine too.

Maybe I should check on my generator. It's around somewhere, in the garage most likely, since we moved. We had it in IL in case of power outages, but luckily the longest power outage we had was a few hours.

I can't make smores on my gas fireplace .

It is of no consequence.
I don't do anything on the weekends anyway. If the power fails , I'll sleep.

I just went out to try and noticed they are like tiny, tiny soft balls of ice rather than snowflakes. They are floating like snowflakes though, not like sleet. Interesting!
