Just spoke to my friend in Gaffney and it's snowing there - oh gosh I am going to have to go to the supermarket!

The sky is all white and cloudy but nothing happening yet.

This is better than the weather channel alerts.

Anywhere in the South where snow is a rare event.

It's almost like it's contagious.

I mean, it snows in other places of the country and there is no mass run on the grocery store. You'd think we were preparing for a bird flu outbreak or something...months of survival supplies.. etc. Do people really not have enough food to survive 1-2 days? I imagine most people could stand to lose the weight anyhow

ROFL!!!! If you want entertainment, go to any supermarket or grocery store in the Philadelphia metro area (SE Pennsylvania, South Jersey, & most of Delaware). If the word snow is mentioned in the weather, they are after milk, bread, & eggs. If they say Nor'easter, the people strip the shelves.

I could sell both. I found my stashes of both from when I moved.

I actually went out about 4:30 or so and got firewood, more flashlights, and more candles. I figured if we don't have an ice storm my house will be warm AND it will smell good! Gave me an excuse to tell my fiancee we needed candles, too! Almost all firewood was sold out in Mint Hill. I was lucky and found some at Bi-lo and it was almost gone there. 10 more minutes and I bet it was gone!
