Best family friendly neighborhoods in Harrisburg? Price range is $250,000 - $300,000 with 3-4 bedrooms and 2000ish sq ft. A pool would be a big perk, but is not a deal breaker. I'm fine with an HOA if the neighborhood has good perks.

There are four single family homes in all of Harrisburg listed under $300k. Many more options and good family neighborhoods open up in the $300k - $350k range.

If your goal is to be in the Hickory Ridge High boundaries, check out the subdivisions near Morrison Road / Pioneer Mill Road. There are homes in your budget over there, but it will be a Midland or Concord address and you'll be about 8 miles outside the center of Harrisburg. it is a relatively rural part of the Hickory Ridge High boundaries except for those subdivisions.

The biggest goal is to be convenient to UNCC. We’re also looking at some Charlotte neighborhoods, but I haven’t heard much about specific Harrisburg neighborhoods. Are there any that you would recommend that have some homes in the lower 300s? I’ve been keeping an eye on MLS and realize the inventory in the under $300 range is low. One thing I’ve noticed while looking in the Charlotte area is that so many of the houses are so big! I really don’t want anything over probably 2200 sq ft.

Canterfield? It has Patriots ES, and Hickory Ridge MS and HS. Big neighborhood on the farther part of Harrisburg has a community pool and playground and is basically attached to Pharr Mill Park.
